We're all about solutions.

Design-Build:

The buck stops here.

Design-Build is a common phrase in the construction industry; but what does it really mean? Choosing this option means our customer invites SBS to manage both the design and construction of a pre-engineered building. We work with an architect who drafts the plans; then our Project Managers work with our construction team and trusted subcontractors to erect the building of your dreams.

A primary benefit of this scenario for our customers is a single point of contact. Plus, we’re accountable for the entire process under one roof. We determine the scope of the project and devise a budget; we manage the design phase and execute the construction process. It’s our responsibility to ensure the team delivers a final product on-time and within cost.

Turn-Key Solutions:

Move-in ready.

It’s the best phrase to describe the solutions we provide that involve a “one-stop-shop.” In this scenario, a customer brings the design plans to SBS, delegating every single detail of the project to us. We secure permits, then procure and manage plumbing, HVAC, electrical services, flooring, insulation, windows, fixtures, painting, pavement and landscaping and everything you can imagine—except maybe interior decorating.

Retrofit:

Making it better.

Retrofitting a building turns something good, or even ailing, into something better. Perhaps an airport hanger has suffered wear and tear—we bring it up to date with new exteriors and flooring. Or we add contemporary features such as air-conditioning or electricity to bring an aging structure into the 21st century. Or perhaps we make an addition to create more space.

Customizable Solutions:

Making your building yours.

If you can dream it up, we can build it. The possibilities are limitless. Your choices are, too!

WHAT'S NEXT?

We work hard to make the construction process a hassle-free one. First we’ll determine the scope by determining if you already have plans drafted. If you prefer, invite SBS to complete designs. We enjoy long-standing partnerships with a range of capable architects who specialize in pre-engineered materials. Then SBS will:

  1. Identify a Project Manager for point of contact

  2. Make relevant choices regarding fixtures, materials, paint/siding colors, etc.

  3. Gather estimates from trusted subcontractors to develop a cost-effective estimate

  4. Draw a contract for your review and signature

  5. Garner necessary municipal permits

  6. Determine construction timeline

  7. Interface with you, or a designated point of contact, for the duration of the construction schedule

  8. Clean up so you can move in
